Jun 20 10:00am Summit Mountain Hill Climb Centennial Honored with Vintage Car Show & Climb!
On June 20, 1913, The Automobile Club of Fayette County held the first Summit Mountain Hill Climb. On June 15, 2013, the Summit Mountain Early Iron Car Club will sponsor a vintage car show at the historic Summit Hotel in Farmington from 10am to 3pm. Cars and motorcycles from the 1913 – 1922 era of our hill climbs and Uniontown Speedway board track fame are welcome.
Marci McGuinness, author of Yesteryear at the Uniontown Speedway and Speedway Kings, 100 Years of Racing History, will be on hand telling the story and autographing books.
Watch the old cars, even a 1904, 1 cylinder Oldsmobile, climb the Summit on their way to the show!

Summerfest is coming!  We are hoping this will be an enormous success for our church and the community. This will be an indoor/ outdoor Sale and Craft Show. The inside (Air-conditioned and Rain Proof) has the capacity to hold up to 70 Vendors.  The outside has endless possibilities.  This will be a combination of Vendors selling “Things Almost New”, Crafts & Consultant Vendors.

The Lake Ariel Faith Fellowship will be hosting their first summer event, a Strawberry/Ice Cream social on June 22 beginning at noon until 5pm.  There will be ice cream, strawberries, many treats made with strawberries and beverages.  Hamburgers and hot dogs will also be available for purchase.  Come and sit while you enjoy fellowship with your neighbors and enjoy some cool refreshments on a warm summer day.

Jun 22 3:00pm Edison Football Fundrasing Event

The Edison Football team along with other sports teams of Edison Local will be hosting an event on Saturday June 22nd from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Edison High School.
 This day of FUN for the whole family will include inflatables , dunk tank, rock wall, pie in the face ( with district "celebs" being the target! ), and plenty of food! With the purchase of a $10 wristband kids will have unlimited access to inflatables, plus receive three food vouchers. Extra food available for an extra charge. Dunk tank, rock wall and pie-in-face extra. We will also hold a cow patty bingo tickets on sale now for $10.  1st prize 15% of tickets sold, 2nd prize lawn mower donated by Vernon Dell and 3rd prize chainsaw donated by Pytash Tractor Sales. You will receive three food vouchers with purchase of this ticket as well, just show your stub when you check in the day of the event.
Sports teams will be on site doing face painting and selling spirit wear as well.  This day is open to the entire area, it's not just for Wildcats!

THE GRAND OPENING AND DEDICATION OF THE JOHN K. TENER MEMORIAL BRIDGE, LINKING NORTH CHARLEROI AND MONESSEN, AS WELL AS WASHINGTON AND WESTMORELAND COUNTIES. 
    CEREMONY WILL BEGIN AT 11:00 A.M.  WITH SHORT SPEECHES AND RIBBON CUTTING.  THERE WILL ALSO BE A WEDDING CEREMONY PERFORMED ON THE BRIDGE  (BETWEEN A WOMAN FROM MONESSEN AND A MAN FROM NORTH CHARLEROI.

The event will be held at the North Park Boathouse. Parking will be across the street. The race will be timed by Smiles for Miles. This is a Three Rivers sanctioned event. 

All proceeds benefit Make-A-Wish. Registration the day of the event begins at 6:30am and start time is 8:00am. Prior to the race people will receive a draw-string bag with a tee shirt, energy packet and post-race flyer. Food, water, and sports drinks will be provided throughout the 5K. Everyone of all ages is welcome to come and support a great cause.

We will also be hosting a Chinese Auction after the race with baskets of items for all ages. Numerous local businesses and corporations are helping make this event a success so put on those running shoes and come on out to the boathouse!

A large variety of antique cars will be displayed around Old Economy Village.  Food, games, historic artisans, and entertainment will create an old fashioned town celebration for the entire family.  Free admission.

Aug 19 8:30am Golf Outing, Make-a-Wish, Cranberry

Our event is the “6th Annual Keller Williams Charity Golf Outing for Make-a-Wish Foundation” and our goal is to raise enough money for two wishes “$7800.00”

We will be at the Cranberry Highland Golf Course in Cranberry Township, PA on August 19, 2013.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and this scramble is guaranteed to make your day one to remember. 

We will have a hole-in-one contest, other holes that have some skin in the game, a silent auction, putting contest, 50/50 raffle, and delicious lunch and dinner included. 

The cost for this exciting day is $125.00 per person.  We are accepting registrations for golfers now and of course any items that could be donated for our silent auction would greatly be appreciated too.

So, come join us, meet our Make-a-Wish Child, maybe win something along the way and definitely have a fun filled day especially knowing you are helping a child get a wish.
