Beginner's Baby Sitting Class

Beginner's Baby Sitting Class will be held at Heritage Presbyterian Church, 2262 Rochester Rd., 15237, (Franklin Park)on Saturday, March 9, 2013 from 9:00am to 3:30pm for boys and girls ages 12-15. The cost of $10 per child plus a donation of baby food for the food pantry includes lunch, snacks, materials and baby sitting instruction. 

Course covers: Baby Sitting Basics, Personal and Child Safety, Child Development, Infant & Child First Aid, how to prepare child friendly food, tips on starting a baby sitting business and more.  This class is being offered at less than half the customary fee for this area due to generous support from church members.

The instructor is Nancy Pettengill, RN, BSN, ICCE, CBC, who is certified by the American Heart Association as a CPR Instructor (BCLS) and First Aid Instructor. She is a Clinical Nurse Educator, and has taught baby care and parenting classes to expectant and new parents for over 20 years.
